Happy Discovery Day

Today marks the 5th anniversary that the PURA Gene was discovered. This is one of the 105 genes that Little Q is missing from his 5th chromosome, and the most important one. But if he were born mere 5 years before he was, we would be in the dark about what was (or wasn’t) happening to him.

I was grateful for genetic research before but now that it has a huge impact on our lives, I’m even more grateful for it. The future may be unknown, but because of advances in technology, we think it’s bright.
